Spring to Summer

It is hard to believe that it is almost June and that Tallulah will be two in July.  Time goes by so fast especially when life is so good!

We have been pretty busy these last couple weeks. Aaron ran his first 5K at Moonlight Beach and Tallulah and I had to much fun cheering him on.  We were so proud of him.  He beat his goal time so that was awesome.  Next year, I think we will have Tallulah run it with him and also the kid's 1K. She loves running.  We might all do it as a family next year with our new baby boy with us!

We had a nice Mother's day brunch at Hill Street Cafe in Oceanside. It has become a yearly tradition.  It was a great family group with Aaron's mom, grandma, sister, Jeremy, Andrea's fiance, our dear friend Leigh Anne and my mom was visiting as well.  Good food with good people.

On June 9, we are moving into a new place.  We have been looking for so long and are happy we finally found a great place in Park Place which is off of Santa Fe in Encinitas/Cardiff.  It is a three bedroom with 2.5 baths so we are stoked!

Summer is approaching fast and that means fun times filled with swim lessons so Tallulah can try and surf with Papa.  We look forward to many beach days this year and the best part is that Tallulah's cousin Julien will be leaving here in the next couple weeks so our beach days will include Aunt Sara and Uncle Richie.

Other then that, so much more excitement to come with Father's Day, Aaron's birthday, our baby boy shower, Andrea's bridal shower and most importantly Andrea's wedding in July.

We hope all of you are enjoying the end of Spring and start of Summer.

See you all soon!

It's a Boy!

Happy May everyone!  We have had an exciting last couple weeks.  Last week, we went to our first trimester screening at 14 weeks and we found out we were having a boy! We were so surprised to find out this early but he made it known to us that he was a boy and kept spreading his legs open!  I am starting to feel better and have more energy so that is good.  However, October feels far away at this moment.
In other exciting news, Auntie Andrea got engaged.  We are so excited that she will be getting married to Jeremy this July.  It is going to come up fast and it is going to be a wonderful wedding.

A couple weeks ago, we finally made it on our trip to Ojai.  We love it there so much and we love the little studio we rent.  The family that rents it to us is so kind and they have a little boy Tallulah's age and they like playing together plus they have chickens in the backyard so Tallulah really loved seeing them.  We had a nice time just walking in town and going to the farmer's market which is our favorite and Tallulah loves the "Monkey Man" band, as she calls it.  It was a quick trip but we hope to go back soon.

The next couple months are going to be very busy but full of fun events like wedding dress shopping, bridal showers, baby showers, camping and birthday parties.

Much Love,
The Bravos

Easter Weekend

Egg Hunt at the YMCA
Look, he ate the carrots!

Surprise from the Easter Bunny

It was a wonderful Easter weekend.  We kicked it off with Aaron having the day off on Friday so he got to join Tallulah and I at her Hummingbird class and then we dyed Easter eggs with dyes we made out of spices and fruits.  It was so much fun.  On Saturday, we thought we would brave the craziness and check out the City of Encinitas egg hunt.  It was crazy how many people were there.  They have over 20,000 eggs divided among the age groups.  Once, we got into the egg hunt, it was actually pretty mellow.  Thank goodness, 2 year olds, do not get that crazy or competitive so it was a lot of fun.  Tallulah loved putting all her eggs in her basket and opening them up at the end.  Afterwards, we went to lunch with Auntie and her boyfriend Jeremy, who were so awesome and drove down for the event.
On Easter morning, Tallulah was so surprised when she looked out the window and saw that the Easter Bunny had come during the night and ate all the carrots we left for him and also hid some eggs for Tallulah and left her a surprise in her Easter basket, as a thank you for the yummy carrots.  After wards, Tallulah got dressed in her Easter dress from Abuela and she looked so beautiful.  We then had a family brunch with Abuela, Auntie and Jeremy at Third Corner.  Bottomless Mimosas for everyone, except this pregnant mama.  Bummer!! It was a wonderful day.  We hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend as well.

Love,

Baby Bravo #2

There has been a lot of excitement since I last posted.  We are so happy that Tallulah is going to be a big sister.  We are due on Halloween!  I am 10 weeks pregnant and we cannot wait to find out if it is a little sister or little brother.  Right now, I feel little sister!

It is has been a rough 4-5 weeks.  When I found out I was pregnant, Aaron was sick in bed so that was a bit of a bummer.  I was taking care of him and then when he got better, that is when my sickness and tiredness kicked in.  It was 5 weeks earlier then my last pregnancy.  I did not want to do anything!! Then I top of that I got a sinus infection.  I had not been sick since before I was pregnant with Tallulah so it hit me hard plus it was a bit scary to be so sick early in my pregnancy but the baby was fine and I got better fast.  Thank goodness for great husbands!!  Once I got better, guess who got sick again?  Poor Aaron!  He rarely gets sick as well but the colds this year have been nasty! So he was sick in bed again and I was not really great either. Tallulah was a trooper!  We felt so bad for her since she did not get as much outside time as she is used to but she took good care of us and gave us lots of love!

We are all healthy now but I am just waiting for that second trimester so I can get past this nauseous and lack of energy!  Plus, it is so weird having this big belly so early.  Second pregnancies are crazy.  Everything just happens so fast.

Right now, we are seeing our favorite doctor, Dr. Cap and also our midwife, Brooke.  We are not sure what type of birth we are going to have.  If the pregnancy goes well, then we may have a home birth or we may go with a hospital birth.  If I have blood pressure issues etc. then for sure we will be at the hospital.  All I really care about is not having another c section so say your prayers for a easy and healthy birth!

This last week, we had a fun visit with Uncle Richie, Auntie Sara and Cousin Julien. It was so great to have them here.  Tallulah had so much fun.

This weekend is Easter and we cannot wait to see Tallulah in her cute Easter dresses.  Saturday we have the egg hunt at the Y and then family brunch on Easter.  Stay tuned for pictures.

Here are some videos of Tallulah at the sea lions in La Jolla.  We went the other day because the weather was amazing and she had never been.  She liked them but was more into the guy playing guitar.

Oh, if you try to see the videos in the email, you cannot play them, you need to go to the actual blog site.

Lots of love to you and your families!

Ready for Spring

Hi everyone,
It has been a couple weeks since we posted but things have been busy.  It is hard to believe that Tallulah just turned 20 months old.  Where does time go?  March is a busy month for us.  We have a trip to Ojai coming up and are excited that Uncle Richie, Auntie Sara and Cousin Julien are coming to visit for a week at the end of the month, followed by our sweet friend Jonathan.

Everyone is healthy and past their colds.  Aaron's hung on for awhile but he is finally better and back to his running program.  He blasts it every morning and runs before work, that way I can do pilates and yoga in the afternoon.

However, with the time change, it will be fun for him to take Tallulah after work with the stroller since she has been going to bed a bit later.

Tallulah is growing every day and talks so much.  It blows me away that she has been talking in full sentences for such a long time, she just loves to talk.  Along with talking, she is busy climbing, doing big hops and dancing.  These are some of her favorite activities.  Here is a video of her with her new vintage record player dancing to "Walk This Way" by Aerosmith.

Last week, we also went to the Birch Aquarium and she loves the sharks so here she is checking them out.  We are anxious for warmer weather, beach days, camping days and fun with friends and family.

Love,
The Bravos

Happy Weekend!

Happy weekend!  Things have been busy at our house.  Tallulah had a cold  which she recovered from but Aaron has been sick this whole holiday weekend which has been a bummer.  Nixon is always carrying to many germs with all that Hong Kong travel :)

Tallulah has been loving her Hummingbird class at Waldorf.  I think her favorite part is when we all sit down at the table and eat snack and then wash our dishes and sweep and clean up.  She had great manners and is such a great helper.

We had some exciting news this week when Chad and Andy announced that they had bought back Nixon from Billabong.  Billabong had been struggling to stay a float and Nixon was their shining star but in order to pay down their debt, Billabong agreed to sell back Nixon which was awesome news for everyone at Nixon.  This means great things for Nixon, now that they are not held back by Billabong.  We are excited to see what the future holds.

Other then that, we had a wonderful Valentine's day and look forward to Spring coming.  We hope to make a trip to San Francisco soon to see Cousin Julien, who is getting so big and handsome.

Here is a fun video of Tallulah, who has loved that she has mastered the slide at the park, along with a video of her putting on her "make up" that she got for Valentine's day. (It is play make up made out of wood)

Stay tuned.

Love to all.

Tallulah is feeling much better!

Last week was a bit hectic for us.  Tallulah seemed like she was teething and then had a bit of a runny nose.  She had a mild fever that went up and down but it seemed normal.  The doctor said she had a little bit of fluid in her ear but nothing serious and we could ride it out before considering antibiotics.  As the week progressed, Tallulah stayed the same and was not sleeping at night so finally on Thursday night we decided to give her the antibiotics.  That night she slept better and then was feeling a lot better by Friday.  Sadly, she had to miss her first day of class at her Waldorf school so that was a bummer but we are just glad that she is back to her old self and feeling so much better.  This was her first time really being sick so we were glad it went well for her.  Thank goodness for homeopathic medicines as well!! They have helped her so much.

We had a great weekend. The weather has been amazing.  Saturday, we played out in the front yard and Tallulah painted and played with our neighbors cat, Bam Bam.  Today we had an awesome hike at Torrey Pines state beach with Tallulah in her hiking backpack.  She loves traveling on Papa's back!  It was super busy.  I think everyone was trying to get out before the Superbowl game.  Of course, we could care less about the game so it was nice to be outside, enjoying the sun.

This week will be back to normal and hopefully enjoying more crazy warm weather!
