Holidays 2011

So I realize we are almost in February but I thought we would keep spreading a little Christmas cheer with an update from the holidays.  We had a wonderful holiday season.  Tallulah had the best time at Grandpa Richard's house in Anza.  She got to see goats, horses and explore the great outdoors.  I think she loved the freedom to roam!  After Thanksgiving, we did a family trip of the three of us to Ojai.  We love visiting there and we rented the perfect little studio house from a super awesome family.  The weather was amazing.  It was super warm and Tallulah loved exploring the farmer's market and playing with the chickens and dancing to the local band.

Christmas brought us an extra special gift, the birth of Tallulah's cousin, Julien.  We spent Christmas at home and Tallulah was super excited about Santa.  I think her favorite gifts were the table and chairs from Grandpa Richard, the art aisle from Grandma Julie and the tea set from Santa.  It was a beautiful day hanging out at Grandma's and enjoying family.

Finally, the first week of January arrived and we took a family trip to San Francisco to meet cousin Julien.  Great Grandma, Grandma and Auntie flew with us to visit Uncle Richie, Auntie Sara and Cousin Julien.  We all rented the perfect house in San Francisco and once again were blessed with seasonally warm weather.  Tallulah had so much fun exploring the big house, Golden Gate Park, the Academy of Sciences and most of all her new Cousin Julien.  I think Auntie got the prize for holding him the most!  It was such a special trip, we hated to say goodbye.

We look forward to all the new things to come in 2012!

Bravo's back in 2012

Hi everyone,
Wow, the last time we blogged Tallulah had just started walking! Now she is not far from being 19 months old and is one busy little girl. Our goal is too blog once a week about our family happenings so stay tuned.
Tallulah is doing great. She is our social butterfly. This week she will be starting her hummingbird class at Waldorf. It is a two hour class on Fridays that includes circle/story time, snack and tidy time and outside/social time. We are so excited for this time with her. Aaron and I will be alternating who will be attending the class with Tallulah. It will be a special time.

Tallulah just had her 18 month check up. She is 25.5 pounds and 34 inches tall. She is tall and lean and sassy!

We feel so blessed to have such a beautiful, smart and healthy little girl. Happy 2012!

Lots of fun updates!

Sorry, it has been so long since we updated the blog. It has been busy!!  So many fun things have been going on.  First big news, our little Tallulah is walking!!  She has been walking a bit since Memorial Day but now she is blasting it everywhere and loving it.  We spent yesterday at the beach with our friends and celebrated Aaron's birthday.  Tallulah loved walking on the beach for the first time.  Her birthday party is going to be similar so she is going to love it.

Other great news is that I am leaving Kashi at the end of July to be a stay home mama!! I am so excited!!  I have had such a hard time being back at work and my heart has wanted to be at home so Aaron and I are so happy we could make this work.  You really do not need much to live so it amazes me how many people have huge incomes but feel that cannot stay at home.  It is so worth it!

Other then that, we are getting ready for Tallulah's birthday and a few camping trips as well.  It is going to be a great summer.

Aaron and I are also excited because we are having a date day on Wednesday and going to Disneyland while little Tallulah stays at home with her amazing Auntie.  It is going to be so much fun.  We hope you are well and we will see you soon.

Oh one more great thing is that we have Uncle Rich's wedding in July as well . We cannot wait to meet Sara and Tallulah's soon to be cousin.

Lots of love!

Mother's Day and a Visit to Ramona

It has been awhile since we posted because things have been hectic. First, I celebrated my first mother's day with my baby. It was a perfect day. We had brunch at Hillstreet Cafe with my wonderful husband, my mother in law, sister in law and Aaron's grandma and of course, my cutie, Tallulah. It was so nice. Aaron surprised me with the coolest picnic table that he refurbished and surprised me with it on the front lawn. Best gift! Thank you for a great day.

Now to last week...Our landlord informed us that our roof was going to be replaced. I asked him for three days notice because the sound of the roofers is super loud so we wanted to plan ahead with Tallulah napping etc. Well, we did not get notice and the roofers showed up. They did not know that we had wood beam ceilings so the moment they started working on the roof, tons and tons of dirt and debris started falling through the cracks. It was everywhere!! Tallulah's room, crib, was covered. Living room, kitchen, carpet, our bedroom, everywhere!! It was a nightmare. Luckily, Aaron was home that day and got Tallulah out of the house. It smelled so dusty and was just a nightmare mess. We called our landlord and he was going to pay for us to go to a hotel but we decided to pack it up and stay with Aaron's mom in Ramona. A one day job, turned into a three night stay in Ramona. It took way longer to finish the roof plus the cleaning person had to come and clean the heck out of our place. We finally got to come home late Saturday. The cleaning person did an amazing job!! Thank goodness.

The great news is that Tallulah had a fun visit to Ramona and she was awesome. She did super in her pack and play and was such a happy baby. The hard wood floors were a challenge for her at first but by the second day, she was moving all over the place. She is such a good baby. However, by Saturday, she was getting fussy and wanted to go home. When we got home on Saturday, she was so happy!! She was laughing and playing. It was good to be home.

A huge thank you to Grandma Julie and Auntie Andrea. We could not have done it without them. Lots of love!

Here are some pictures of Grandma Julie cutting the weeds, our visit to the beautiful Dos Picos park  in Ramona which Tallulah loved and mother's day.

Our Little Eco Baby

This last weekend was "Creek to Bay Clean Up Day". We took Tallulah to her first beach clean up at Moonlight Beach. We found some cigarette butts and of course plenty of plastic debris! I am still amazed that people are using plastic water bottles. They are not healthy for you or the environment.

The next day, we went for a hike at Torrey Pines State Park. See the picture above. We had a great time and Tallulah loved it.

She is so close to walking. Tallulah is so strong and has amazing balance. She keeps us busy but we would not want it any other way. Look for a post soon about my first Mother's Day with Tallulah!

Easter Fun!

Here are some fun Easter pictures of Tallulah. One is of her the other day in her cute new whale shirt that Grandma Milanna sent for Easter. She looks so cute in it!

Auntie Andrea got her the special Easter dress. We loved it with the fun white polka dots.

Grandma Julie made Tallulah the super cute pink tutu for her Easter basket. I am sure it will get used often for dress up!

Look how cute that little belly is.

Busy Tallulah

Tallulah loves to keep herself busy and on the move. She has always been such a strong baby. She has been practicing standing on her own and moves about from place to place, holding on to things. We think she will be walking early so we will see. She totally has a great combo of Papa's skateboarding and Mama's dance balance.
