Easter Weekend

Egg Hunt at the YMCA
Look, he ate the carrots!

Surprise from the Easter Bunny

It was a wonderful Easter weekend.  We kicked it off with Aaron having the day off on Friday so he got to join Tallulah and I at her Hummingbird class and then we dyed Easter eggs with dyes we made out of spices and fruits.  It was so much fun.  On Saturday, we thought we would brave the craziness and check out the City of Encinitas egg hunt.  It was crazy how many people were there.  They have over 20,000 eggs divided among the age groups.  Once, we got into the egg hunt, it was actually pretty mellow.  Thank goodness, 2 year olds, do not get that crazy or competitive so it was a lot of fun.  Tallulah loved putting all her eggs in her basket and opening them up at the end.  Afterwards, we went to lunch with Auntie and her boyfriend Jeremy, who were so awesome and drove down for the event.
On Easter morning, Tallulah was so surprised when she looked out the window and saw that the Easter Bunny had come during the night and ate all the carrots we left for him and also hid some eggs for Tallulah and left her a surprise in her Easter basket, as a thank you for the yummy carrots.  After wards, Tallulah got dressed in her Easter dress from Abuela and she looked so beautiful.  We then had a family brunch with Abuela, Auntie and Jeremy at Third Corner.  Bottomless Mimosas for everyone, except this pregnant mama.  Bummer!! It was a wonderful day.  We hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend as well.

Love,

Baby Bravo #2

There has been a lot of excitement since I last posted.  We are so happy that Tallulah is going to be a big sister.  We are due on Halloween!  I am 10 weeks pregnant and we cannot wait to find out if it is a little sister or little brother.  Right now, I feel little sister!

It is has been a rough 4-5 weeks.  When I found out I was pregnant, Aaron was sick in bed so that was a bit of a bummer.  I was taking care of him and then when he got better, that is when my sickness and tiredness kicked in.  It was 5 weeks earlier then my last pregnancy.  I did not want to do anything!! Then I top of that I got a sinus infection.  I had not been sick since before I was pregnant with Tallulah so it hit me hard plus it was a bit scary to be so sick early in my pregnancy but the baby was fine and I got better fast.  Thank goodness for great husbands!!  Once I got better, guess who got sick again?  Poor Aaron!  He rarely gets sick as well but the colds this year have been nasty! So he was sick in bed again and I was not really great either. Tallulah was a trooper!  We felt so bad for her since she did not get as much outside time as she is used to but she took good care of us and gave us lots of love!

We are all healthy now but I am just waiting for that second trimester so I can get past this nauseous and lack of energy!  Plus, it is so weird having this big belly so early.  Second pregnancies are crazy.  Everything just happens so fast.

Right now, we are seeing our favorite doctor, Dr. Cap and also our midwife, Brooke.  We are not sure what type of birth we are going to have.  If the pregnancy goes well, then we may have a home birth or we may go with a hospital birth.  If I have blood pressure issues etc. then for sure we will be at the hospital.  All I really care about is not having another c section so say your prayers for a easy and healthy birth!

This last week, we had a fun visit with Uncle Richie, Auntie Sara and Cousin Julien. It was so great to have them here.  Tallulah had so much fun.

This weekend is Easter and we cannot wait to see Tallulah in her cute Easter dresses.  Saturday we have the egg hunt at the Y and then family brunch on Easter.  Stay tuned for pictures.

Here are some videos of Tallulah at the sea lions in La Jolla.  We went the other day because the weather was amazing and she had never been.  She liked them but was more into the guy playing guitar.

Oh, if you try to see the videos in the email, you cannot play them, you need to go to the actual blog site.

Lots of love to you and your families!
